Kim Brinkmann, owner & instructor

Brinkmann has been offering St. Louis the best in the Authentic Method of Pilates since founding Pure Pilates Plus™ in 2000.  An avid runner and cyclist, Brinkmann discovered Pilates in 1994, 13 years after being severely injured in a car accident. After taking Pilates for three months, she was pain-free for the first time since the accident.

Her love of Pilates sent her to New York City where she studied under Joseph H. Pilates' protégé, Romana Kryzanowska, and master teacher Sari Mejia-Santo.  After more than 600 hours of training, she was certified by the Pilates Studio®.  Prior to returning to St. Louis, she worked at the Dragos Studio in New York. She lectures for Washington University Physical Therapy.

Leslie Campbell-Driesner, instructor

Leslie joined Pure Pilates Plus in June 2011 after moving to the greater St. Louis area. She came as an instructor from The Pilates Center of Champaign-Urbana where she taught Pilates and mentored apprentices training to be Pilates instructors. She has a strong understanding of the human body and its movement capabilities from her studies in dance, anatomy, physiology as well as the Alexander Technique and other alternative body work methods.

Training:  Leslie received her certification from Romana's Pilates in 2005. She was first introduced to Pilates in 2002 and studied under Janice Dulak, Romana's Pilates Level 2, Master Instructor Trainer. Due to Leslie's years of training in dance, Pilates came naturally to her. She quickly developed a deep passion and understanding of the ideals and principals that Joseph Pilates created. With the goal of helping other people live more fully in their bodies, she decided to pursue a career and lifetime commitment to Pilates.

Education:  Leslie received her bachelor's degree in fine and applied arts from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana in 2002. She studied all disciplines of dance, with a focus in modern dance.
